Study in Ireland
As part of the Dublin Program, students enjoy a genuine immersion experience by living with Irish students in on-campus accommodation and taking courses at their host institutions.
Students enroll in courses in Arts and Letters, Commerce, Science, Computer Science and Engineering at University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, and Dublin City University. They also take classes with Notre Dame faculty at the historic O'Connell House, a late eighteenth-century building on Merrion Square.
Students taking part in the Galway Program will be based on the National University of Ireland Galway campus in the heart of the city. Galway hosts a rich cultural heritage and is home to several arts festivals, literary festivals, theatre companies, traditional Irish musicians, and Irish language groups. The city is an ideal base from which to explore the west of Ireland, as it is within easy driving distance to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Aran Islands, Connemara, and the Notre Dame Kylemore Abbey Global Centre. While studying abroad, students will be taken on cultural excursions to these locations to learn about the culture, archaeology, and history of the West of Ireland. Students will enroll in classes at NUIG and will take one class with Notre Dame faculty.
