Join us for the official launch of two books by Keough-Naughton Institute faculty fellows:

Amy MulliganA Landscape of Words: Ireland, Britain, and the Poetics of Space 700-1250 (Manchester University Press, 2019)

Ian Newman: The Romantic Tavern: Literature, Politics and Conviviality in the Age of Revolution (Cambridge University Press, 2019)

Amy Mulligan,  Assistant Professor of Irish Irish Language and Literature, is a faculty fellow of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, the Medieval Institute, and the Program in Gender Studies. Her colleague Sarah McKibben, Associate Professor of Irish Language and Literature, will offer remarks for her book.

Ian Newman, Assistant Professor of English, is a Faculty Fellow of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies. Professor James Chandler, the William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago, will offer remarks for his book.

At the book launches, the Keough-Naughton Institute will also honor the celebrated poet John Deane, who will give a public reading in the Snite Museum of Art at 3:30 that day  His books will be available for purchase and for signing.
