The Clingen Family Center for the Study of Modern Ireland at the Keough-Naughton Institute presents the fourth installment of the Embassy of Ireland's 2021 series of American Reflections on the Advent of Irish Independence. Ambassador Daniel Mulhall will be joined by Dr. Niamh Gallagher, Lecturer in Modern British and Irish History at St. Catharine's College, University of Cambridge, Prof. Bríona Nic Dhiarmada, Thomas J. & Kathleen M. O'Donnell Professor of Irish Studies and Concurrent Professor of Film, Television, and Theatre at Notre Dame, and Prof. Barry McCrea, Donald R. Keough Family Professor of Irish Studies and Professor of English, Irish Language and Literature, and Romance Languages and Literatures at Notre Dame. Herbert R. and Donald R. Keough Visiting Faculty Fellow Dr. Colin Barr will serve as moderator.

A Farther Shore is presented in collaboration with the Embassy of Ireland and the American Conference for Irish Studies. Previous webinars in the series are available for streaming from Boston College on The Aftermath of the Easter Rising, 1916-1919 and from DePaul University on Reflections on the War of Independence, 1919-1921.
