Michael G Cronin is a Lecturer in English at the University of Ireland, Maynooth, specializing in twentieth-century and contemporary Irish literature and in sexuality studies.

His books include Impure Thoughts (Manchester University Press, 2012), Revolutionary Bodies (Manchester University Press, 2022), and Sexual/Liberation (Cork University Press, 2022 - part of the Sireacht: longings for another Ireland series.)  In addition, he has published numerous essays on twentieth-century and contemporary Irish fiction (most recently in the Oxford Handbook of Modern Irish Fiction and the Cambridge History of Irish Modernism), and on contemporary Irish sexual politics. He was guest editor of a special issue of Irish Review (Irish Review 46, Autumn 2013) on Irish Studies in the wake of the 2008 crash.
