Aedin Clements

Aedín Ní Bhróithe Clements, Librarian

Aedín Clements is the Irish Studies Librarian and Curator in the Hesburgh Libraries. She has an M.A. in English literature from Western Michigan University, where she focused on Irish writers, and a B.A. in Irish and Folklore from University College Dublin, where she also studied librarianship. Since library school days, Ms. Clements has been interested in children’s literature. She curated an exhibit in the Hesburgh Special Collections on Irish children’s literature and, most recently, collaborated in editing a special children’s literature issue of Breac. Making library resources visible to scholars is her priority, and she is interested in strengthening library and archival resources for Irish studies in America. She is an active member of the American Conference of Irish Studies’ Library and Archives group.
