Gráinne Ní Mhuirí

Gráinne Ní Mhuirí is the 2009-2010 Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant. She is from Dublin and received a BA in Celtic Studies and H. Dip in Education from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Gráinne has spent a number of years teaching Irish and Mathematics up to Leaving Cert Higher level in St Joseph of Cluny Secondary School in Dublin. This semester Gráinne teaches Beginning Irish 2 and runs the conversation table for students who wish to practice their language skills outside of the classroom. She is also taking graduate Irish literature courses with Prof Breandán Ó Buachalla and with Prof Bríona Nic Dhiarmada and also a course in American Studies on ‘Native Americans in Fact and in Fiction’. Gráinne will complete an MA in Applied Language (Irish) at Dublin Institute of Technology when she returns home.
