On Friday, January 24th at 3:30 PM in 424 Flanner Hall John Dillon presents “From Oral Culture to Open Access: Yeats, Lorca, and the Digital Turn.”   A Notebaert Graduate Presidential Fellow in the Department of English, John received his B.A. from Harvard University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. within the interdiscplinary design of the Keough-Naughton Institute. Working with Professors Declan Kiberd and Diarmuid Ó Giolláin, his dissertation focuses on the intersection of folklore and European modernism.  Together with fellow graduate student Nathaniel Myers, John produces Breac - a digital Journal of Irish Studies. The journal foucuses on Ireland's culture, history and literature in a worldwide context.
