New Faculty Fellows Announced

The Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies announces the appointment of two new faculty fellows:

John F. Sherry,Jr. is the Raymond W. & Kenneth G. Herrick Professor of Marketing, Chair of the Marketing Department and concurrent Professor of Anthropology. His studies focus on the socio-cultural and symbolic dimensions of consumption and the cultural ecology of marketing.   

His recent work involves a study of the re-imaging of murals in Northern Ireland in a joint project with Queen’s University Belfast.

Joseph Buttigieg is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Literature and Director, Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program. He specializes in modern European literature, critical theory, and the relationship between culture and politics. He has authored a book on James Joyce’s aesthetics, A Portrait of the Artist in Different Perspective.   

We welcome both John and Joseph to the Institute.
