Dr. Rebecca Artinian-Kaiser

Becky Artinian Kaiser

Executive Director

As the Executive Director of the Keough-Naughton Institute, Becky Artinian-Kaiser provides operational, programing, and strategic leadership for both the Institute and the Clingen Center for the Study of Modern Ireland. She oversees both the Notre Dame campus and Dublin-based branches of the Institute. During this time of transition for the KNI, Becky will be guiding the Institute's development to enable the achievement of its ambitious goals.

With expertise in the leadership and development of research initiatives, centers, and institutes, she has been instrumental in the founding of research enterprises at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Oxford. Directly prior to her current role, she was the founding Associate Director of the Laudato Si' Research Institute at Campion Hall, University of Oxford.

With a background in theological and environmental ethics, questions at the intersections of the academic disciplines and between theory and practice lie at the heart of her academic work, and they continue to inform her leadership at the Keough-Naughton Institute.

Originally from New Zealand, Becky grew up on the west coast of the USA. In the peripatetic manner of an academic, her studies and professional career took her around the USA, to Scotland, Germany, and England. Having returned to live and work in the US, Becky lives with her husband and daughter and enjoys playing tennis, gardening, travel, and almost anything that gets her outside.
