Contesting the narrative of decline, Irish scholar Brigid Laffan argues Europe is as rich as the US (minus the top 1%) and is hardening its defenses for 2030.

The book, which was commissioned by ARINS (Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South), received the Christopher Ewart-Biggs Memorial Prize. The award recognizes work that encourages peace and reconciliation in Ireland.

O’Sullivan, a political and social historian, was recognized by the Society for the Study of Nineteenth-Century Ireland for an article he published in Irish Historical Studies.
