In early September, the Keough-Naughton Institute welcomed the acclaimed Irish playwright Marina Carr to Notre Dame for a ten-day residency. She read from three of her works at the Snite Museum of Art, participated in a roundtable with Notre Dame faculty, led a playwriting workshop, visited a drama class and one on James Joyce's Ulysses, and met with actors from the Irish Theatre of Chicago, our faculty, and our students.

Ms. Carr, also a lecturer in English at Dublin City University, currently has plays in production in Milan and London.
