Historian Patrick Griffin appointed director of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies

Patrick Griffin, the Madden-Hennebry Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame, has been appointed director of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, effective January 1, 2018. He will succeed Christopher Fox, Professor of English, who co-founded the Institute in 1992 with Seamus Deane and has been director of the Institute since 2001.
