Aedín Ní Bhróithe Clements

Aedín Ní Bhróithe Clements was the Irish Studies Librarian and Curator of Irish Collections at the Hesburgh Libraries until her retirement in 2023.

She curated exhibits in the Hesburgh Special Collections on Irish children’s literature, on the Easter Rising, and on the writings of the Irish Diaspora. Her wide-ranging interests in Irish studies included Irish language and literature, children’s literature and Irish folklore.

Ms. Clements has served as the U.S. representative on the IASIL Bibliography Committee and as a field bibliographer for the MLA International Bibliography, indexing Irish language books and journals. She is one of the founding members of the libraries and archives group within the American Conference for Irish Studies.
